Artist Tsai Charwei and director Tsering Tashi Gyalthang created the collection Lanyu together on the Orchid Island in Taiwan. The life of local residents on the island is tightly intertwined with the ocean. Its massive scale and magnificent power make the Pacific Ocean the greatest mystery in the world. Under the lens, the tranquil tide pool reflects the uncertainty and intensity of the waves after a typhoon. The hand-inscribed Heart Sutra echoes the Impermanence of life. The coexistence of prettiness and peril is instantly captured by camera out of respect for the greatness of nature.
